A rare catalog of erotic cabinet cards cloaked in the guise of art, offered by the Soule Photograph Company of Boston, illustrated with 306 photographs of mostly academic paintings of female nudes. An image affixed to the inside of the front cover shows the average size of a Soule cabinet card. The other images are small, with many to a page. Text regarding price, etc. surrounds the cabinet card specimen: “The price of this catalogue is $2.50, which amount will be returned or credited on account, at the option of the purchaser, upon its safe return to us, provided it has not been retained over four weeks…All of these subjects are published in cabinet size at $1.50 per dozen, and nearly all in medium size at $3.00 per dozen.” An unusual piece of photographica. No copies recorded in OCLC.

CONDITION: Good, rubbed, lightly soiled, contents clean (with respect to surface dirt).
