Illustrations galore in this brochure for a sportsman’s paradise and family retreat in the north woods of Maine.

Describes fishing, hiking and canoeing adventures, touting the comfort of cabins with their own bathrooms and access to transportation and health care. For an extra 24.50 per week, you can arrange for your maid or chauffeur’s board in the back hall and for $6.00 a day, you can hire a guide, canoe and motor. Affixed to the inside of the back cover is a page entitled “The Outing Paradise of Maine” with Terms and the names and addresses of References. Also tipped in is a separate 4 pp. narrative leaflet of a canoe trip by an “unnamed guest”, an invitation to the “automobilist” to stop over, and an 8.5 x 11” map colored map entitled “Attean Camps -- Ruel E Holden -- Proprietor -- Jackman -- Maine”, showing 21 camps, railroads, highways, buckboard roads, trails, waterways, “quickwaters”, hotels, and garages. Envelope is addressed to Mrs C. A. Bishop, 36 N. Front St., Richmond, Maine. First purchased by Ruel and Henry Holden in 1905, the Attean Lake camps continue to be managed by the descendents of Ruel Holden.
