A handsome summer-of-1880 schedule for travel via rail and steamship from Boston to Mt Desert Island, Maine and beyond. For $10.00, one could travel in the “most comfortable and the quickest” manner by rail to Portland and thence by steamer to Bar Harbor, or entirely aboard a steamer for $8.00. Also described is an excursion to the copper mines of Blue Hill via the Steamship Lewiston to Sedgewick, thence by stage to Blue Hill. Included are a list of Bar Harbor hotels and cottages, state room plans of the steamers Lewiston and City of Richmond, and a timetable. The map, entitled Map of the Routes, ranges from Boston to the White Mountains to Bangor and Machias, with an inset detail map of Mount Desert Island. Dated 6-16-80.

CONDITION: Very good, 1/8” separation at corners of folds, lightly toned.
