A brochure with a map of Virginia’s battlefields promoting the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway’s tourist trip through Civil War battle territories, which culminates in Washington D.C. and a Knights of Pythias celebration.

Describes battlefields, histories, and scenic attractions. Also included is an extensive list of battles and skirmishes in Virginia and West Virginia. The attractive full-page map, which ranges from the Chesapeake Bay to the mountains of West Virginia, is entitled, “Map Showing the Locations of Battlefields of Virginia Compiled from Official War Records and Maps for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Co., 1891.” A smaller, three-panel map is included as well. It is entitled, “On to Washington via Big Four [Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis R’y], Monon, C.H.D. [The Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton R.R.] and Picturesque Chesapeake & Ohio Railways.”

CONDITION: Very good, two .25” separation at folds, wear at outer panel extremities, pencil mark on front-panel.
