Illustrations by the Boston Photogravure Co., Harper and Brothers, etc., depict the homes of the Hon. James Blaine, Mrs. John Whitaker, Mrs. R. B. Scott, the Vanderbilt family, and the Kebo Valley Club House, local churches and more. The map is entitled “Map of the Village of Bar Harbor”, and ranges from Bar Island to Cromwell Harbor. A Cottage Directory borders the map, organized by street, citing cottage names and owners’ winter addresses. “Numbered Cottages are Those Occupied by Non-residents.” Replete with advertisements for local businesses.
