One of 850 numbered copies on “Vélin Saint-Vincent-De-Blanzat Des Papeteries.” This copy number 731. Plates four, six and thirteen are after Man Ray, and the frontispiece portrait of Serge Lifar is by Picasso. Ukranian-born French ballet dancer Serge Lifar was a principal dancer for the Ballets Russes who held the post of ballet master at the Paris Opera from 1930–1944 and 1947–1958. Accompanying the text are sixty striking illustrations from photographs of Lifar in his various ballet roles from 1924 to 1932.

CONDITION: Very good, light wear to wrapper edges; loss to lower right corner of glassine at front wrapper, as well as some loss to edges.
