Waltham St. Lawrence: Golden Cockerel Press, 1928. Hardcover with dj. Sm 8vo (7.75” x 4.5”), red cloth, gilt-lettered spine. 24 pp., 2 full-page copper-plate engravings (so described by Gill). Two bookplates of Wyman Parker on front paste-down. CONDITION: Very good, cloth lightly faded with light spotting on top-left of front and back covers; good dj with a bit of loss to head of spine panel, spine sunned.

No. 141 of an edition of 500 copies. “This essay was delivered as a lecture at Manchester University, 7 February 1928. It was originally published in the University Catholic Review, Vol. 1, no. 3, May 1928. It was revised and the plates were engraved specially for this edition. This book is no. 61 of the Golden Cockerel Press publications” (Gill). Wyman Parker was a librarian at Wesleyan University, librarian at the Bread Loaf School of English, and a collector of fine press books. REFERENCES: Gill 15; Chanticleer 61.
