Folding railroad timetable and map, decorative front and back panels printed in pink, green and red, 1 sheet, 31” x 16.75”, 16 panels, folded to 8.25” x 4”, one map on verso, 31” x 16.75 including margins, printed in red, green and black. CONDITION: Very good, a few small separations at folds, one chip on back panel, light wear to panels.

An attractive timetable for the “Maple Leaf Route” of the Chicago Great Western Railway. Includes schedules, rates, and general information, as well as a large map illustrating the Route through Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Kansas, with a green maple leaf printed over the area of service. The map shows most of the United States, cutting off parts of Texas, Florida, and Maine but including southern Canada. Offering an inducement to home-seekers and investors to travel to the “Garden Spot of the World,” the Chicago Great Western Railway provided “the latest gas-lighted, steam-heated Pullman vestibuled compartments and drawing-room sleeping cars on all through trains.”
