Lithograph Lining Papers.
[N.p., ca 1910]. Oblong 8vo (6.25” x 9.125”), 3/4 black leather and marbled paper over boards. [1] p., 70 sample sheets. Early ownership inscription on first page: “J. L. Carroll”. CONDITION: Covers fair, rubbed with some loss to paper on front cover; contents very good, lower right margin of p. 1 excised. A rich album of marbled and chromolithographic paper samples, apparently produced by an American manufacturer. This volume contains seventy very attractive samples of glazed, gold-veined, gilded, marbled, or lithographed papers, advertised as having a guaranteed “uniformity of color” and superior “folding qualities” and sheet sizes over “those of imported papers.”
