Early inscription of “Mrs. Mason, 28 Compton Terrace, Jany. 5th” in ink on preliminary. CONDITION: Very good, edges of spine worn, occasional foxing, top half of plate title “London in 1851” trimmed away.

First edition in book form of this delightful satire of the mad rush to the Crystal Palace exhibition of 1851, with plates by Cruikshank and text by social critic Henry Mayhew.
