CONDITION: Good, spine sunned, moderate wear to covers, some brown stains at pastedowns and endpapers. First edition thus. The colophon states that “two hundred copies have been printed by Hague & Gill, at Pigotts, Near High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire, June 1948.” Though some allege that there was an accident at the Hague & Gill printing press that caused all but 25 copies to be destroyed, we have located 29 copies of this edition held in libraries worldwide. Wyman Parker was a librarian at Wesleyan University, librarian at the Bread Loaf School of English, and a collector of fine press books.
